Doda, 07 September 2024 | General Observer for Assembly Constituencies AC 52-Doda and AC 53-Doda West, Aditya Negi inspected the strong rooms here.
The inspection coincided with Mock Poll exercises conducted ahead of the Assembly Election 2024. The inspection focused on the security of the strong room, the integrity of the EVMs, and the proper execution of the mock poll process.
Aditya Negi expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and emphasized the importance of strict adherence to election protocols to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election process. He also interacted with officials and staff involved in the election duties, offering guidance and addressing any concerns related to the preparations.
Accompanying the General Observer during the visit were District Election Officer (DEO) Harvinder Singh, as well as Returning Officers Sunil Kumar Bhutyal and Ashok Kumar along with Assistant Returning Officers (AROs).
The Mock Poll is a critical step in ensuring the readiness and functionality of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and other election materials.
