Kishtwar, 12 January 2025 | The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Kishtwar organized a grand celebration of National Youth Day to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at Boys Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Pawan Sharma (Additional SP, Kishtwar) and Guest of Honor Shri Sourav Kotwal (Former ABVP Member). Other dignitaries included City President Prof. Jaideep, State Joint Secretary Ms. Radhika Aryan, District Convener Shri Vinay Aryan, and State Executive Members Shri Anurag Sharma and Ms. Kanika Shan.
Highlights of the Program The event began with the rendition of the Parishad Geet by Ms. Kanika Shan, setting a serene tone for the day. Guests were honored with books, presented by the District Convener and City President, as a token of respect.
Mr. Vinay Aryan ( Zila Sanyojak Kishtwar) welcomed the audience and shared the significance of the occasion. The dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.
Young performers from Kishtwar Arts Production captivated the audience with a vibrant dance performance. Winners of the Speech and Drawing Competitions, held on January 10, 2025, were felicitated.
Shri Sourav Kotwal, the Guest of Honor, highlighted the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in today’s world. Chief Guest Shri Pawan Sharma urged the youth to embrace leadership and contribute actively to the nation’s progress.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Radhika Aryan, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and attendees for their contributions.
The celebration was a resounding success, leaving the audience inspired to follow Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of leadership, service, and dedication to the nation.
