Jammu (Jindrah), 19 December 2024 | Road Safety Club and NSS Unit of GDC Jindrah organized various activities under the patronage of Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal of the college to spread awareness among the people particularly youth regarding the norms of road safety.
The event started with the pledge-taking ceremony by all the staff and students to keep themselves safe and secure while driving and follow traffic rules to avoid accidents. It was followed by a lecture by Mr. Vinay Manhas, Physical Director of the college in which he highlighted various issues of road safety and different means to avoid mishaps on roads. He also emphasized various signs & signals of traffic and appraised the participants about the dos & don’ts of traffic rules.
In the end, a rally was organized in the nearby village to spread awareness among the local residents regarding traffic rules and violations and how to prevent road accidents. Moreover, the college campus has been declared as traffic sensitive zone owing to which riders without helmets and drivers without fastened seat belts are denied entry onto the campus.
