Poonch, 17 February 2025 | The Journalist Association Poonch, led by President Randhir Singh, Vice President Ehtesham Husain, Gen. Sec. Naiz Shah, and all others, submitted a memorandum to MLA Haveli, Ajaz Jan, advocating for the establishment of a dedicated Press Club in Poonch. This initiative aims to provide a centralized space for media professionals to collaborate and uphold journalistic standards.
During the event, MLA Jaan emphasized the pivotal role of the media in accurately reflecting societal issues and cautioned against sensationalism. He acknowledged the media’s influence in shaping public opinion and underscored its responsibility in educating the public about various welfare schemes.
Addressing the concerns raised in the memorandum, MLA Jan assured attendees of his commitment to establishing a Press Club in Poonch. He outlined plans to initiate this project promptly and execute it within a specified timeframe.
