Jammu, June 24 | Raj Bhagat, a prominent cartoonist of J&K on Wednesday honored Tarun Uppal, social activist and Chairman of Nirbhay bharat foundation as a frontline corona warrior for his service to humanity amid COVID-19 pandemic by presenting a portrait of his picture.
Tarun Uppal expressed gratitude to Raj Bhagat for honoring him. “People have demonstrated their unity, standing up together without any caste, creed and political color in the battle to combat the spread of the Coronavirus,” he said, adding, the same approach should be adopted in nation-building. He said that it’s the duty of everyone to come forward to extend helping hand to the society whenever the society needs us.
Uppal said that the mainstay of the whole war against the Corona Epidemic is to strictly follow the norms of social distancing and use all the necessary precautions like frequent hand washing etc. He appealed to the people not to come out of their homes to contain the spread of the virus, as without the cooperation of citizens it would be hard to achieve desired results besides making Jammu free from COVID-19.
Raj, while felicitating, said that he (Uppal) is working as a frontline warrior to defeat the corona pandemic. He said that the Society will never forget the contribution of all those corona warriors, who have performed their duties while not giving an onus of thought about their own well being. He asserted that the human race will always feel indebted to them as Corona Warriors.
