Vijaypur, May 21 | Police Technical Training Institute observed “Anti-Terrorism Day” in a befitting manner after observing social distancing. On this occasion, a pledge was also taken by the Police personnel of the Institute to mark the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Principal PTTI Vijay puren lightened the objective behind the observance of this day.
He stated that Anti-Terrorism Day is observed every year on May 21 to wean away from the youth from terrorism and the cult of violence by highlighting the sufferings of common people and showing as to how it is prejudicial to the national interest.
Subsequently, two-minutes silence was also observed by the staff of the Institute to mourn the demise of Syed Muhammad Aslam Gillani, father of Shri S.J.M Gillani, ADGP (Coordination), PHQ-J&K.

However, in view of the CIVID-19 pandemic, all precautionary measures such as participation of minimum strength, maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks, etc. were taken properly.
