Jammu, February 25 | 06 Bn CRPF, Dheerti Dharore, Katra organized one-day Drug Abuse Awareness Programme at Panchayat Bhawan, Arli Village, Katra (J&K) in which 40 persons of village Arli participated in the programme. The programme was conducted by Officer & personnel of 06 Bn who attended 02 days Drug Abuse Awareness Programme wef 19/02/2020 to 20/02/2020 at GC CRPF Bantalab.
Drug addiction is one of the key issues in the communities in Jammu, the Jammu Sector CRPF had decided to contribute its bit to help the community in their fight against drug abuse. In this regard, Jammu Sector, CRPF had already organised a De-addiction /ToT programme in collaboration with National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) w.e.f 19/02/2020 to 20/02/2020.
The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), an ancillary institution of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment conducted that ToT course for drug abuse prevention for CRPF personnel. The objective of the ToT course was to create a pool of CRPF trainers from field units deployed in Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Doda, Bhaderwah Udhampur & other remote areas. Trained personnel of 6Bn, CRPF have conducted a one-day awareness program for Drug abuse prevention for the local community of Village Arli in their area of deployment.
