NPP urges Lt. Guv for immediate restoration of Internet Services

Ramnagar, November 19 | A massive protest demonstration led by Panthers Party activists was held at Ramnagar against the suspension of internet services for the last more than 100 days which has hampered all day to day business of common man. The protesters raising slogans demanding the restoration of internet services.

While speaking Shiv Dev Singh, Provincial General Secretary-JKNPP said that due to internet blockade, the student’s community, the business community, the journalists as well as the common man, in general, is suffering badly rendering them hapless in settling their day to day business.

He further said that if there is a disturbance in Kashmir, the Govt. should impose restrictions for such elements, but why the peace-loving people of Jammu region always suffered at the cost of Kashmiri separatists, this is not justified in any way. The nationalists’ people of Jammu region has always suffered because of their anti-national activities. As a result, the demand for separate statehood to Jammu is gathering strength at each forum. He said that the internet is the basic tool and snapping of internet connectivity at peaceful Jammu has no justification.

Pawan Dev Singh, State Secretary-Young Panthers also demanded that if the ban on internet services is not lifted shortly, they will be forced to launch mass agitation.

Later a delegation of NPP met with Sub Divisional Magistrate Ramnagar, urging Lt. Governor Girish Chandra Murmu for immediate restoration of internet services in Jammu region.
