Jammu (Bishnah), November 28 | A free medical camp was organised at Khojipur, Bishnah by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital. Around 140 patients from the village of Khojipur turned up for medical check-up and were screened for various ailments including Blood Sugar, BP tests, Musculoskeletal disorders, ECG was done to screen patients for any heart-related problems. During the camp cardiac and ortho, the consultation was done by Dr. Sushant Kumar, a cardiologist and Dr Rohit Sharma orthopaedic surgeon and free medicines were also distributed.
Dr. Sushant Kumar, Cardiologist said that urbanisation is ruining the health of the patients even in the village of J&K. He also said that during the winter season risk of strokes as well as heart attacks increases by many folds. He advised patients to practice yoga, take a healthy diet and quit smoking.
Dr. (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of the hospital stated our aim of organising this camp is to bring awareness amongst the population about the diseases they are suffering from and to make sure that people should get healthcare at the right time, and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious. Dr. Harjai specified that after examination in these remote location camps, some patients are referred for specialized treatment or surgery to our hospital.
Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch of Khojipur Village and his members provided all sort of help for conducting this Medical camp. Others who were part of this human effort were Dr. Hardeep Singh-Medical Officer, Meena, Kajal, Diksha & Ankita, all paramedical staff.
