GDC Kalakote organizes Yoga and Wellness Online Workshop

Jammu (Kalakote), June 17 | The ongoing online workshop on “Yoga and Wellness”, organized by the Government Degree College Kalakote in collaboration with EBSB started its 3rd day with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GDC Kalakote, to all the participants and then continued with the Morning practice yoga session, taken by Dr. Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Physical director GDC Kalakote with the belief that every new day, every coming second is the new beginning, one has to acknowledge this and pay sincere gratitude to the almighty for every living breathe and focused that inner cleanliness of the body, mind, and spirit to achieve the ultimate aim of life is of utmost importance by changing little attitude towards our life and further added that the investment in health is the highest investment you can make today and you will reape the fruits in future. It is pertinent to mention that over 1580 participants attended the morning session.

The afternoon session was cheered by Dr. Yuvraj Singh, Ex-Professor, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar. He shared his views on “Nutrition for health” and provided useful information on the impact of different components of nutrition on wellbeing and also removed the myths surrounding the consumption of Fats and entrusted that all the components of the diet are needed to be consumed in proper ratio and the deficiency of any of the components can have severe consequences for the health whereas excess will also lead to severe health concerns.

The sessions were actively attended by Prof Rahul Gupta Director UGC-HRDC University of Jammu, Dr. Harbajan Singh, Dr. Vishal Joined From USA along with other faculty members from different institutions of higher learning, Lecturers, Physical education teachers, research scholars, students from different states of the country and various other vivid personalities from different fields.

The ongoing online workshop has a profound effect on the lifestyles; lives of a huge number of individuals, families, and societies. The session was attended and enthusiastically enjoyed by people of almost each age group whether they are children of the age group below 14 years or people of the age group of above 70 years.

The program was also attended by other faculty members of the college, Prof. Sachin Kumar Bhagat, Prof. Anayat Ullah khan, Dr. Afa Dul, Dr. Pinkey Rakwal, Prof. Sanjogita., Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Prof. Shivani Thakur, Prof. Esha Bhagat, Librarian Ruchika, and Manoj Kumar Sharma.
