Ramban, December 23 | District Development Commissioner, Ramban Nazim Zai Khan flagged off three-day training tour of Beekeepers to SKUAST Jammu which was organized by Agriculture Department Ramban under Apiculture Cluster Project.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC informed that in view huge potential of Apiculture farming in district, a group of 40 progressive farmers was sent for three-day awareness tour to SKUAST-J. He said that spotting the potential of bee-keeping as a source of employment, the government is working on plans to promote innovative farming.
While interacting with touring farmers, the DDC advised them to participate with full interest in training sessions to be conducted by the scientists and experts.
Chief Agriculture Officer, R.K. Hitachi and senior officers of the concerned department were present on the occasion. Apiculture Development Assistant, Ayaz Ahmed Rishi will accompany the farmers during the tour.
