Army organised Medical and Dental Camp in Rajouri

Jammu, January 12 | With the aim to provide quality medical care to the needy people of remote areas, Army organised a “Medical and Dental Camp” at Darhal in Rajouri District on 12 January 2020 under Sadhbhavana. A team of fourteen doctors from Army, Govt Medical College Rajouri and District Health Department, Rajouri including one lady Medical Officer and Dental Officer provided medical treatment and advice to the people and free medicines were also distributed, people.

A number of awareness stalls were placed to give information on Leprosy, HIV, Vaccination, Hygiene and sanitation aspects to the villagers.

In view of lack of medical facilities available in the remote areas, general populace in these areas were largely benefitted by this camp. This camp has helped in establishing a good rapport between the Awam and Army. The continuous and restless efforts of the Indian Army to conducts such camps have been greatly appreciated and lauded by the public. The Army with its civilian friendly initiatives continuous to live up to its motto of “Awam Ki Fauj”.
