Jammu, January 09 | Army in continuation of its drive to empower the youth of remote villages of Kishtwar District and make them economically self-independent organized a Driving Course for unemployed youth at Youth Employment Guidance Node (YEGN), Kishtwar.
This training was conducted from 05 Dec 2019 to 09 Jan 2020 and attended by 30 candidates hailing from far-flung areas of Kishtwar region. The course was conducted in collaboration with Toha Driving Institute, Kishtwar and was designed to equip candidates with adequate knowledge, technical skills and necessary driving training. The aim is to generate employment/self upliftment opportunities for the locals.
Speaking on the closing ceremony, the locals expressed their gratitude towards the Army for the noble initiative and providing an opportunity to them to acquire skills for employment which can further be developed into a profession and a means of a decent livelihood.
