Jammu, December 02 | AGRIFEST-2019 (KAIROS- Season 3), a four days annual college festival begins at Faculty of Agriculture of SKUAST-Jammu. The fest was inaugurated at Baba Jitto Auditorium of SKUAST-J by Dr. K.S. Risam Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor who was the Chief Guest of the programme. Dr. Risam in his inaugural address highlighted the importance of cultural events in the life of students and stressed such activities should be carried out every year which boosts the talent of the students by way of participating in extra-co-curricular activities as well as it also helps to build self-confidence.
Dr. D.P. Abrol, Chairman of the organizing committee and Dean Faculty of Agriculture while welcoming the participants emphasized that more and more students should participate in such types of fests and should showcase the rich cultural heritage and diversity. Dr. T.A.S Ganai Director Education discussed the importance of such events in student life.
Dr. Parshant Bakshi, Chairman Management Committee, Dr. Arvinder Singh Organizing Secretary and Ali Haider Shah Joint Organizing Secretary of the event also applauded the keen efforts of the students in such events.
Besides all the Statutory Officers, Heads, UG/ PG Students, the inaugural session was attended by Dr. Deepak Kher (Director Planning), Dr. S.E.H. Rizvi (Dean Basic Sciences), Dr. M.M.S.Zama (Dean Veterinary Sciences), Rajesh Talwar, (Registrar), Dr. S.K. Gupta (Librarian), Zamir-ul Haq, (Adm. Officer) and President Teaching Association SKUAST-J Dr. Vikas Sharma.
